Day Program

The Day Program at Gateway Transition Center helps young adults with autism develop fundamental social, pre-vocational, and life skills needed to live, work, and thrive in the community.

 

 

When?

Fall 2016
August 22- December 9, 2016
Monday/Wednesday
9 AM – 12 PM

OR

Tuesday/Thursday
9 AM- 12 PM

How Much?

 

$2,800 if paid in full by August 1.

OR

$100 deposit due by August 5. $600 monthly tuition due on 15th of August, September, October, November, & December.

Enrollment closes on August 5.

About the Day Program
  • Goal for participants to function more independently
  • Provides opportunities for social interaction and community involvement
  • Programming tailored to individual participants’ goals for independence
  • Uses research-based curriculums for social skills, transition, and health and wellness
  • Helps young adults build foundational skills to enter vocational programs focused on developing job skills and gaining enjoyable employment
  • Groups formed based on skill level and support needs
Who is a good candidate for the Day Program?
  • Young adult between ages 18 & 26
  • Diagnosed with an autism spectrum disorder
  • Has recently exited high school or secondary academic program, within past 3 years
  • Able to converse
  • Has a personal desire to become more independent in daily living
