Transitioning Together is an 8-week research-based program for high school students with autism and their families. TT helps families learn about the transition process and connect with community resources for adults with disabilities. At the same time, the students participate in a social group, which is a place for them to start thinking about their futures and practice skills to help them become more independent.
It costs $1,500 per family to provide this service; however, due to the generosity of the Lamar Family Foundation, we are able to offer Transitioning Together at a significantly discounted rate. The fee for Transitioning Together for Spring 2016 is $200, and payment plans are available.
Transitioning Together begins Wednesday, February 3, 2016. Click here for an informational flyer.
The Day Program at GTC is combines one-on-one and small group instruction with community-based activities to help young adults with autism to develop life, social, pre-vocational, and leisure skills needed to live, work, and thrive in the community. The curriculum is tailored based on each individual’s needs and goals. The Day Program is open to young adults ages 18 to 26 with autism who have finished high school. The Day Program takes about 1.5 to 2 years to complete and is offered in 6-week sessions/semesters.
The first 6-week session begins on Monday, February 15, 2016. Contact us now to get more information–there are only a few spots remaining! Click here for an informational flyer.
